About SEPLAT Undergraduate Scholarship

Seplat Petroleum Development Company (SEPLAT) is a Nigerian indigenous oil and gas company listed in the Nigerian and London stock markets.

The partnership of Shebah Petroleum Development Company Limited and Platform Joint Ventures Limited established SEPLAT in July 2009. The objective was to pursue upstream oil and gas opportunities in Nigeria specifically. And to create diverse opportunities from the incumbent Major IOC’s portfolios.

Since its first public operation in 2010, Seplat has become Nigeria’s leading indigenous oil and gas operator. Since its commencement, the company has continually increased its production and reserves yearly. It has also consistently increased its profit and revenue every year.

Additionally, Seplat established itself as a leading natural gas supplier to Nigerian domestic markets. They were able to achieve this through substantial investment in the development, commercialization, and monetization of gas reserves that exist on its blocks,

Now, Seplat founded the NPDC scholarship focusing on the Niger Delta area to give back to the local communities they explore. The scholarship has run yearly since its inception and continues to date.

Who Can Apply for the SEPLAT Scholarship?

To apply for the NPDC Scholarship, you must be an undergraduate student in any public university in Nigeria. However, not all the courses of study are supported.

You must be studying any of the courses below before applying. The courses are:

How to Apply for SEPLAT Scholarship 2024/25

Follow the information carefully below to apply for the SEPLAT Scholarship.

• You must complete and submit an online application. Please click here to apply.
• You are expected to have a valid personal email address for easy communication between you and the management. Gmail accounts are preferable.
• Only the shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
• You must note that applications are subject to NPDC Scholarship Award Terms and Conditions.

NPDC Scholarship Requirements

If you meet the requirements below, it does not take much to be eligible for the scholarship.

1. Firstly, you must be in your second year of study or above
2. Secondly, you must have at least 5 O’level credits in mathematics (including science and technology)
3. Your GPA must be more than 3.5
4. Finally, it would be best to not hold another scholarship award.

How much is it worth?

If you can win this Scholarship, you will be awarded N150,000 yearly to cover your tuition fee and other school bills.

This will continue throughout your undergraduate study period.

Where is the NPDC Scholarship Hosted?

The NPDC Undergraduate Scholarship is hosted in Nigeria, and the exam is conducted in any Nigerian university or polytechnic.

So, this scholarship is not for Nigerian students studying abroad.

SEPLAT Scholarship 2024 Deadline

Typically, the deadline is usually two weeks after the application opens. The closing date for the NPDC scholarship 2024 will be on the 16th November 2024. I will advise that you apply immediately after the application portal opens. If it is to set a reminder, do that.
